Filter coffee machines offer several advantages for coffee lovers. They're incredibly convenient, delivering a consistent cup of coffee with minimal effort. They're also great at batch brewing, making them perfect for serving multiple people or having coffee ready to enjoy throughout the morning.

The Fellow Aiden combines the convenience of a drip machine with the quality of a manual pour-over. It stands out for its precise temperature control, elegant design, extensive brew profile options with built-in presets, and unlimited customisation possibilities for the perfect cup.

You can use either, but freshly ground coffee will give you better flavour. If using pre-ground, ensure it's specifically ground for filter/drip coffee.

You should rinse the carafe and filter basket with every use. We'd advise to descale the machine monthly to remove mineral deposits and prolong the machine's lifecycle.

Bitter coffee usually means over-extraction (grind too fine, water too hot, or brewing long). Sour coffee suggests under-extraction (grind too coarse, water too cool, or brewing too short). Try changing one variable at a time until you get a cup that you are happy with.

The best way is to use a descaling solution. Run the solution through a brew cycle, let it sit, then run several cycles of clean water to rinse thoroughly - no one wants coffee that tastes of descaling solution!
