Rwenzori

  • Nectarine,
  • Grapefruit,
  • Lime

Coffees from Rwenzori typically have a clean, sweet profile, with medium acidity, and a balanced body. These coffees tend to be rich in citrus and stone fruit flavours, often with a floral finish.

We've been working with Agri Evolve since 2018, selecting the best coffee each season from farmers in Uganda's Rwenzori Mountains. Ripe coffee cherries are carefully hand-selected by farmers before being delivered to Agri Evolve's processing station in Nyabirongo.

Every kilo of Rwenzori coffee sold contributes 60p to the ACE2030 project, funding essential programs in the region. This includes 40p for planting new trees, with the remaining funds supporting various community development initiatives.

    Rwenzori Mountains

The Rwenzoris are situated in the West of Uganda, and are the home to all of our Ugandan coffees. Farmers in the area typically have 1-2 acres of land, and sell their ripe coffee cherry at washing stations managed by Agri Evolve.

    Clean & Sweet

Clean and sweet, with medium acidity. Expect plenty of citrus and stone fruit flavours, with a subtle floral finish.

    Natural

During harvest season, ripe coffee cherries are picked by hand each day and transported to Agri Evolve's processing station at Nyabirongo. Cherries are floated and graded before being dried in the sun. Throughout the drying process, they're rotated multiple times daily to ensure even drying whilst allowing them to develop their full rich flavours.
