The volcanic islands of São Tomé and Principe were nicknamed “the chocolate islands” – in the early 20th century, when they were the world’s leading producer in terms of volume and quality. This São Tomé chocolate has a gently fruity taste, thanks to the banana leaves wrapped around the beans during fermentation.

How Does It Taste?

Deliciously smooth with notes of butterscotch, popcorn and red berry. Made with Amelonado varietal cocoa.

Preparation

Make Award-winning hot chocolate at home

  1. According to taste, scoop your chocolate flakes into a serving cup.
  2. Heat approximately 175ml of milk to fill the serving cup.
  3. Cover melted chocolate with a tablespoon of hot milk. Mix to a smooth paste
  4. Slowly whisk in the rest of the milk in stages.
