Coffee scales are specifically designed for brewing with faster response times and better precision (usually 0.1g). Some even come with built-in timers, allowing you to track both weight and brew time simultaneously.

This very much depends on your brewing method. We'd recommend starting with 1:16 for Filter and AeroPress, or 1:18 if you're using a Cafetiere. You can always adjust to taste and experiment with different ratios from there.
