Aldea Casitas is a well-known coffee-growing community in the Copán region of Honduras, where high elevations and mountainous terrain create ideal conditions for producing exceptional coffee. This lot brings together coffees from 25 smallholder farmers in the village.
Careful processing helps create a cup that is clean, balanced and naturally sweet, with notes of fresh green apple, nutty macadamia and soft honey.
As with many great Honduran coffees, this lot has been fully washed to produce a clean and balanced cup. Ripe cherries are hand-picked, then pulped, fermented, washed and carefully dried in the sun.
Casitas is a smooth, medium-roast coffee with balanced sweetness and comforting nutty notes.
