AeroPress Replacement Silicone Seal

After making hundreds or even thousands of cups of exquisite coffee, the Silicone Plunger can become a little compressed or worn, allowing some air leakage around the edges.

Be environmentally responsible by rehabilitating your AeroPress instead of throwing it away and starting over! Just pry off the tip with a little “elbow grease” and put on the new one. It’s quick, easy, and amazingly effective.

It is possible for the seal area to smell like stale coffee. We recommend AeroPress users remove the seal from  the plunger once a month to thoroughly clean the seal.

The silicone seals are somewhat softer than our previous seals. We think they work better that way and will also be more durable.

Brew Guide

How To Use Your AeroPress

  1. Attach plunger to AeroPress brewing chamber and turn upside down, adding 16g of medium/fine coffee to the chamber.
  2. Place your filter paper(s) in the filter cap and pre-wet. Use 2 filters for a cleaner brew.
  3. Place AeroPress on scales. Shake to level the grounds, then add all 250g water. Stir.
  4. Remove from scales, screw on the cap and wait for one minute. Gently press until bubbles form on the cap.
  5. Place the cup upside down onto the inverted AeroPress, flip it over, and plunge gently, until you hear a hissing sound.
  6. Enjoy!
